Clinical Trial Units

In Finland, clinical research in children can be conducted in hospital patient wards, outpatient clinics and in separate research units located in connection with university hospitals. In addition, clinical research can also be conducted at private medical clinics, and other healthcare facilities similar to the hospitals. In these, the investigators responsible for medical research as defined by law and the research staff trained with them are responsible for carrying out the research. Other services for research include hospital pharmacies, laboratory and imaging units, and research administration service units.
