Research panel for children and young people (HUS)

The first Nordic youth research panel (Young Person´s Advisory Group) was established at HUS in 2020

The youth jury started as part of a larger HUS research jury development project. The members of the research panel are healthy adolescents or young patients with medical condition, aged 15 to 18 years, who are interested in medical and health science research and who have attended research panel training. The research panel can be asked for views, comments and opinions on e.g. written research materials targeted at patients (e.g. patient information, informed consents, trial diarys, research questionnaires, etc.) in terms of readability and comprehensibility. The panelists’ comments are based on their own experience and age group-level thinking. The member of the research panel is bound by a non-disclosure agreement and a data protection agreement. The activities of the research panel are free of charge for HUS researchers. It is possible to make a separate paid task request for actors outside HUS.
