Operational Model

FINPEDMED’s operating model is based on the rapid and centralized transmission of information between the Sponsor and investigators. The activities are based on our own (closed) investigator´s membership register, which can be used to quickly identify and provide experts for various tasks and studies.

The Clinical Trials with Medicinal Products are managed through the electronic Service Request, which enables clients to receive centralized responses to preliminary feasibility studies and the feasibility of an already completed protocols, for which researchers and research units are sought by specialty.

Consultations

The FINPEDMED office prepares Consultation Agreements (CA) for all its experts and negotiates their terms with the Sponsor. The CA management and payments are operated through the Clinical Research Institute HUS Ltd.

Clinical Trial Agreements

FINPEDMED does not negotiate nor manage Clinical Trial Agreements, trial budgets or invoicing. In the HUS Group and Helsinki health and welfare area (Helsinki University Hospital), research agreements for external research funding (such as for companies) are managed in thethe Clinical Research Institute HUS Ltd. Each University Hospital trial site of the FINPEDMED network manages own organizational trial agreements, contracts and budgets.
