Enpr-EMA is a permanent network structure located in the European Medicines Agency

When the Paediatric Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1901/2006) came into force in Europe in 2007, Article 44 of the Regulation also required the European Medicines Agency (EMA) to establish a European network, the European Network of Paediatric Research at the European Medicines Agency (Enpr-EMA), to coordinate national and other specialized paediatric drug research networks. Enpr-EMA does not conduct the research itself, nor does it fund it. The main activities of the network are to coordinate the cooperation between all Enpr-EMA member networks (more than 50 networks), to promote research conditions and international cooperation, and to maintain the exchange of information between the networks and all stakeholders, including the pharmaceutical industry, children and young people, and all authorities. The European Medicines Agency provides a secretariat, a website and the opportunity to hold meetings. FINPEDMED is a member of Enpr-EMA and participates in the strategic planning of Enpr-EMA activities in its Coordination Group. FINPEDMED The Executive Director chaired the Coordination Group of Enpr-EMA from 2019 to 2025.
